August 23, 2009 Bill and Florence Burns gave us an excellent summary of their experiences at General Synod in Grand Rapids. Especially intriguing was a resolution with the objective of reducing land use devoted to meat production. August 2, 2009 This morning it was good to see Phil and Gail Noll back with us for a while. They returned briefly to the excessive San Antonio heat after enjoying a cool summer in St. Louis. Phil describes the effort of a UCC group in St. Louis attempting to remove all references of gender from the Bible. Dr. Mary Jewell who received a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from OLUL. Ben Schwartz graduates from Marshall High School. May 3, 2009 The service this morning was led by the Rev. Wilmer Brown. Apr. 12, 2009 In the 10:30 Easter service, the children played an important part as they gave a reading on "The Other Wise Man" by Henry Van Dyke. Apr. 5, 2009 We rejoice that three new members have joined our fellowship this morning. They are Mary Jewell and William and Dania Hendricks. Mar. 29, 2009 The children's time this morning was conducted by LeLynn Koch. Feb. 22, 2009 Taking part in the worship this morning was a quartet singing a special type of music, doo-wop. The members of the group were Jose DeJesus, Rick Gonzalez, Danny Muraida, and Xavier Leath. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful harmony they produced. Feb. 8, 2009 The Reflection this morning was given by the Youth Fellowship. Feb. 1, 2009 During the service this morning we had an installation of the officers of the church and school. Jan. 4, 2009 The dedication of the new hymnals was during today's service.
